Job Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY The Finance Analyst is responsible for
administering and implementing funding executions for Housing New
Mexico’s Single Family Mortgage Program utilizing various financing
mechanisms. This includes program performance management,
compliance with regulatory requirements, and all auxiliary duties
as required. Additionally, this position oversees bond issuances
for Housing New Mexico’s multi-family development projects,
develops partnerships and interacts with the Housing New Mexico
Financing Team, supports financial analytics and reporting, and
performs other finance-related functions as required. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The intent of this job description is to
provide a representative summary of the major duties and
responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Employees may
be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those
specifically presented in this description. • Support the
activities of the Finance and Accounting Department and ensure
efficient daily operation, which includes planning, coordinating,
administering, and evaluating programs, projects, processes,
procedures, software systems, best practices, and standards. • Own
the bond issuance process for both the Single-Family Mortgage
Program and multi-family projects, including analysis of
profitability/cash-flows, distribution and review of bond
documents, and coordination of closing cost-of-issuance. • Set
mortgage rates daily upon approval and provide analyses on current
funding sources and impact of economic movement on profitability. •
Monitor compliance with bond resolutions and indentures, including
redemption functions, as required in the Finance Department. •
Create and distribute various financial reports and presentations
to Housing New Mexico leadership, committees, and other external
stakeholders. • Assist in managing Single Family Mortgage Program
assets and liabilities in accordance with Housing New Mexico
strategy and policy. • In conjunction with the Finance Manager,
monitor Housing New Mexico’s investment portfolio activities comply
with company strategy and policies. • Assist in special projects
involving financial/data analysis and reporting. • Perform other
related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. •
Employees are required to comply with safety regulations,
procedures, and protocols. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and
Experience Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, or
related field; advanced degree preferred. Future or recent college
graduates with three years of general work experience will be
considered. Three or more years of experience in the field of
finance or accounting is preferred. Strong computer software skills
and the ability to gather and organize financial data required.
