Job Details In the role of a Construction Inspector, the candidate
will be engaged in a variety of infrastructure design projects,
each requiring a understanding of construction processes and a
proactive approach to project management. The primary focus of
these projects will be on utility coordination and construction for
private developments. Please note this does not include in building
MEP items but rather expansion of existing municipal infrastructure
and then bringing the required utilities up to the pad prior to
vertical construction. These developments may range from
single-family residential projects to large-scale commercial
projects, such as a 100,000 square foot office warehouse
development, and we would like a a particular emphasis on the
understanding of water and sewer services as well as grading and
drainage. The Construction Inspector will play a crucial role in
utility coordination and construction for small private
developments. For instance, when overseeing the development of a
single-family residential project, the inspector would coordinate
the installation of essential services such as water and sewer
lines. This involves working closely with utility companies to
ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and
that the installation meets local regulations and standards. The
inspector would also be responsible for coordinating submittals and
requests for information, as well as ensuring compliance with
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) activities. In larger
development projects the Construction Inspector's expertise in
utility coordination becomes even more critical. The inspector
would oversee the installation of water and sewer systems, ensuring
that these essential services are properly integrated into the
overall infrastructure of the development. This includes reviewing
and certifying monthly subcontractor invoices, preparing closeout
packages in compliance with local requirements, and coordinating
with utility companies to finalize services. Interested in hearing
