TG Floor Supervisor -Full Time Department: Table Games Employment
Classification: Non-Exempt Position Summary/General Description: A
Table Games Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the
operation of assigned tables to ensure table games dealers adhere
to applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Expectations: Adhere to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) Core
Values, Policies & Procedures. Act as a role model within and
outside the casino. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
toward customers and co-workers. Consistently report to work on
time prepared to perform duties of position. Essential Duties &
Responsibilities: Be proficient in all assigned tables. Accurately
track bank roll of assigned players at all assigned tables. Provide
excellent customer service and ensures same of all employees.
Maintain knowledge, adhere to and ensure Table Game employees
strictly comply with table game rules/procedures, internal
controls, as well as Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board/Tribal
Gaming Regulatory Authority rules and regulations. Accurately
determine table win/loss; oversee games in progress, customers and
employees in the pit area. Communicate information to incoming
floor supervisor. Maintain knowledge of compliance with all dealing
procedures. Maintain total understanding of Table Games manual for
games supervised. Help with the dealer rotation. Ensure maximum
game protection (e.g., observe assigned games; analyze customer
play for cheating scams and suspicious variation in play). Protect
and/or issue all sensitive equipment, (cards, dice, shoes) Train
and help develop Dealer’s skills; counsel and work with dealers on
procedural problems. Assist Pit Manager in completing all duties.
Deal effectively with customer problems/complaints. Serve as a role
model for subordinates. Assist with tournaments and/or promotions.
Accurately tracks table drop. Ensure all Table Games dealers comply
with all dealing procedures. Deal with the difficult circumstances
that arise on the gaming floor in a constructive and business-like
manner while balancing the interest of the customer, employee and
company. Ensure that games move at an appropriate pace. Observe
game, players, and dealers, to ensure accuracy of the game and game
protection. Understand pit accounting procedures and administrative
tasks, i.e., fills, credits, markers, transactions and
responsibilities. Actively participate in Supervisory Development
Leadership Series Build relationships and loyalty with guests
through sincere and meaningful interactions (e.g., learn guests’
names and preferences; connect with them individually and
professionally; smile; make eye contact and verbally greet guests).
Be a team player (e.g., work toward team goals and foster a
collaborative and positive work environment; put the team first;
assist coworkers; treat all coworkers with kindness, courtesy and
respect; never engage in negativity; maintain openness to coaching,
learning and improving; receptive to change and willingness to
embrace challenges with team-spirit). Develop a thorough knowledge
of services, room locations, amenities, surroundings (e.g., gift
shop, restaurants, theater, etc.), providing accurate directions,
and information for guest inquiries about promotions and special
events. At all times maintain a courteous, positive and
professional working relationship with all LDC personnel and the
general public (e.g., coworkers, clients and vendors).Work under
pressure; maintain regular and punctual attendance including
working odd and unusual hours, weekends and holidays. Perform
additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED Certification
required. Must demonstrate leadership or supervisory ability. One
year progressive and responsible experience in casino Table Games.
Licensing & Certification: None. Computer Equipment, Software,
Machinery: Proficient with appropriate casino and pit tracking
software. Essential Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to
hear, stand, talk, turn/twist, walk and repetitively use hands
51-100% of the time. Requires the ability to bend over,
crouch/stoop and sit 25-50% of the time. Requires the ability to
balance/climb, crawl, drive, kneel and reach overhead 1-24% of the
time. Requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift and
slide/transfer 1-50 lbs. 1-24% of the time. Essential Mental
Demands: Requires the ability to solve problems, organize, plan,
make decisions, interpret data, read and write 51-100% of the time.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Train, apportion work among others
and direct (determining work techniques, equipment, materials).
Work Environment (inside/outside): The job is performed indoors
with frequent exposure to loud noises and fumes (e.g., cigarette
smoke). Other Requirements: Must comply with LDC and the Federal
Government Bank Secrecy Act by acquiring and/or maintaining a Title
31 Certification. Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug
screening. Obtain and maintain a gaming license though the Pueblo
of Laguna's Gaming Control Board and must provide/maintain a valid
New Mexico driver's license.
