Job Description Job Description Essential Duties &
Responsibilities: • Works collaboratively and independently to
support the coordination and implementation of museum exhibitions
in the temporary and permanent galleries and their related
programs. • Meets deadlines for assigned tasks for multiple
exhibitions, related programs, and departmental projects. • Strong
ability to move between prioritized tasks assigned for multiple
exhibitions, related programs, and departmental projects during
work schedule. • Strong ability to work in tandem with Head Curator
on time sensitive projects. • Strong ability to give close
attention to detail and accuracy in all project tasks. • Assists
with handling of all objects in temporary or permanent possession
of IPCC. • Assists with installing exhibitions including object and
label placement. • Assists with object moves and record keeping
related to exhibitions. • Assists in preparing written materials
for gallery, educational, and marketing purposes. • Assists in
digital media production and design for exhibitions and related
programs. • Assists in the budget and grant tracking processes for
exhibitions and related programs. • Assists in conveying exhibition
and program information to IPCC/IPMI departments. • Assists with
the maintenance and upkeep of exhibitions. • Assists in
departmental projects as assigned. • Assists with IPCC events and
other duties as required or assigned. Required Qualifications: To
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the experience, education/certification,
knowledge, skills and/or ability needed. Reasonable adjustments or

functions. An equivalent combination of training, education and
experience may be considered. • Must be 18 years of age or older. •
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol
screen and background investigation. Native American preference
will be given. • Bachelor's degree in art history, fine arts,
museum studies, Native American studies, or related field. • At
least one year of experience related to the duties and
responsibilities specified. • Awareness of and ability to learn the
arts and cultural heritage of Pueblo communities. • Awareness of
and cultural sensitivity to protocols and customs of Pueblo
communities. • Ability to work collaboratively and in a sensitive
manner with Native Americans. • Ability to communicate effectively
in the English language both verbally and in writing. • Ability to
work collaboratively and independently. • Proficiency in Microsoft
Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Proficiency in using the internet to
research project topics and needs. • Familiarity with or the
ability to learn design principles and graphic design software. •
Ability to handle multiple tasks on a regular work week and meet
assigned deadlines. • Awareness of and ability to learn accepted
museum standards, strategies, and ethics. • Awareness of and
ability to learn accepted exhibition policies and procedures. •
Awareness of and ability to learn methods of coordination and
implementation of exhibitions and related programs. • Ability to
maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying
social and cultural backgrounds. • Ability to be personable,
respectful, responsive, and courteous with co-workers, visitors,
volunteers, artists, culture bearers, and community partners. Job
