Time | Onsite | Moriarty, NM About the Role LHH is partnering with
a confidential aerospace organization building advanced flight
systems. We're seeking an Avionics Hardware Manager to lead the
design, development, integration, and validation of avionics
hardware for a complex, multi-disciplinary program. This role
blends people leadership with hands-on technical oversight and
close collaboration across software, systems, manufacturing,
quality, and flight operations. What You'll Do Lead and develop a
small team of avionics hardware engineers; set goals, coach, and
manage performance. Own avionics hardware architecture and key
trade studies for power, flight computers, sensors, comms, and
interfaces. Review and approve schematics, PCB designs, and layout;
ensure performance, reliability, safety, and environmental
compliance. Oversee bring-up, integration, verification, and
qualification testing (e.g., thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC). Drive
root-cause analysis and resolution during development, integration,
and flight test activities. Maintain robust documentation,
configuration management, and change control. Represent the team in
design reviews and program forums; support requirements definition
and traceability. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
(Master's a plus). 8 years in avionics or aerospace hardware
development. Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring
engineers. Depth in avionics systems architecture, analog/digital
design, PCB schematic capture and layout review, and power/signal
integrity. Hands-on experience with hardware test, debug, and
environmental/qualification methods. Ability to balance leadership
with technical depth and day-to-day decision-making. Preferred
Qualifications Experience building or scaling engineering teams in
fast-moving environments. Background with flight-critical systems
(e.g., high-altitude platforms, UAVs, spacecraft). Familiarity with
aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-254) and readiness/flight
test support. Strong communication and documentation skills. Pay
Details: $140,000.00 to $175,000.00 per year Search managed by:
