Job Description:
Direct and Coordinate Clinical Activities in a Clinical
Neuroscience Center
Direct and coordinate the clinical and management activities of one
or more units to provide quality patient care, supporting programs
and services aligned with long-range strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Patient-Centered Care: Adhere to and promote the core
expectations of the Patient Centered Medical Home or Patient
Centered Specialty Practice.
- Supervision: Plan, coordinate, and direct activities of
supervisory, technical professional, and support staff; conduct
staff meetings.
- Management: Interview applicants, hire, train, supervise,
evaluate, counsel, discipline, and terminate departmental
personnel.
- Standards and Objectives: Establish specific standards and
objectives for clinical units; ensure implementation of and
compliance with standards, objectives, and operating policies and
procedures.
- Patient Care: Plan safe, economical, and efficient nursing
and/or patient care; ensure patient care is delivered in accordance
with quality standards.
- Education: Provide and coordinate clinical learning experience
for staff and students; plan and assist in patient
teaching.
- Liaison: Act as liaison between patient, family, physician,
clinician, and staff.
- Supplies and Records: Ensure maintenance of equipment, supply
levels, required records, and reports.
- Committees and Meetings: Attend technical and administrative
meetings; participate in committee functions; participate in
hospital-wide activities and committees.
- Development: Enhance professional growth and development
through participation in educational programs, reading current
literature, attending in-services, meetings, and
workshops.
- Patient Safety: Follow patient safety-related policies,
procedures, and protocols; identify and report/correct
environmental conditions and/or situations that may put a patient
at undue risk.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree in a related discipline (BSN
required if not MSN).
- Experience: 2 years directly related experience.
- Credentials: RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by
NM; CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within
30 days.
Working Conditions
- Physical Conditions: Light Work, exerting up to 20 pounds of
force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently,
and/or a negligible amount of force constantly.
- Working Conditions: Subject to an annual contract and
performance appraisal; significant hazard: chemicals, bio-hazardous
materials require PPE.
