Overview Job Description Summary:Leads, designs, and supports the Rust quality program including clinical quality, patient safety, and continuous readiness to assure quality care and regulatory compliance. Works with hospital leadership to develop and implement quality improvement action plans. Functions as a Subject Matter Expert for quality methodologies; facilitating, coaching, and supporting quality initiatives. Responsible for identifying appropriate solutions for clinical initiatives in a timely manner and is actively involved in process redesign and re-engineering. Institutes CDS and PHS quality initiatives at Rust Medical Center. Supports quality for the RMC Bariatric Center of Excellence Program.Responsibilities Responsibilities:*In conjunction with Rust leadership and the Director of Clinical Quality/Patient Safety, develops, monitors, and supports the facility QAPI program to ensure it meets regulatory requirements, to include risk, infection control, patient safety, complaint management and clinical quality and business indicators. Analyze QAPI data and report data to appropriate committees/groups.*Assists Director, Quality Safety and RMC Administration and clinical leadership in the preparation and review of short term and long-range quality improvement plans, clinical outcome plans, and patient safety plans.*Leads and assists facility in establishing and maintaining facility quality plans, clinical improvement, event and patient safety management, management of processes, and establishing goals and objectives for clinical quality and assures RMC cascades from the CDS plans and responsible for CDS Quality and Patient Safety initiatives at RMC*Working with the RMC Chief Hospital Executive , CDS Director of Clinical Quality & Patient Safety, and in collaboration with the PDS Director of Accreditation, to ensure Rust meets all required regulatory standards. Manages regulatory and accreditation preparation activities at the facility level, and collaborates at the CDS level.*In conjunction with the Director of Quality Safety and Manager of Clinical Decision Support, provides clinically pertinent perspective in development of clinical information and measurement processes. Participates in the development, collection, and reporting of clinical performance measurements.*Selects, trains, and orients staff. Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance, initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions.*Leads and supports clinical quality and patient safety initiatives at the facility and collaborates at the CDS level, and participates in task forces, summits, and work groups as appropriate. *Serves as a resource regarding quality theory and practice, especially as it relates to:*Development and evaluation of patient safety and quality indicators *Conducting Risk Analysis, using established techniques and strategies*Application of quality methodologies to quality improvement*Regulatory readiness. *Performs other functions as required.Qualifications Requirements: Current RN License, BSN or Bachelors degree in healthcare related field required. Masters Degree preferred. Prior management experience required . Minimum of 3 years clinical experience and 2 years related clinical quality experience with emphasis on clinical quality data and measurement, interdisciplinary support, and performance improvement. Attain Greenbelt certification within 1 year, Current Greenbelt certification preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project Management applications. Ability to research and plan, organize and oversee short and long-term projects, programs and initiatives. Exceptional analytical and communications skills. Knowledge of various data systems used in healthcare. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively interact with customers to understand their needs and explain data. Ability to train, supervise and mentor staff. Ability to lead projects and initiatives.
