Need profiles by 8/17 -Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room Department at Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) located in Shiprock, NM.NORTHERN NAVAJO MEDICAL CENTERUS HWY 491 NORTHSHIPROCK, NM 87420 -Housing: No government housing available. There are motels, restaurants, mall, etc. in Farmington, NM , 29 miles East of Shiprock, NM and in Cortez, CO, 41 miles North of Shiprock, NM. -DELIVERY SCHEDULE (for 1 RN):1.ASAP through one year -SHIFT:The shifts are 12 hour rotational (day or night) including weekends and Government Holidays. -INITIAL APPOINTMENTS REQUIREMENTS:Education: Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant. -Experience: The RN must have a minimum of 3 years of independent ER trauma clinical experience, including 5 level triage. Requires BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications. Needs to have a strong working knowledge of Emergency Nursing, caring for critically-ill, ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Needs to be able to titrate vasopressors, sedation, paralytics and assisting with bedside procedures. -Professional skills:- Trauma/Cardiovascular patients- Anatomy & Physiology of all age groups: neonates to geriatrics- Triage & assess all ages and presentations of symptoms appropriately using 5 level triage algorithm- Proficient in IV cannulation of all age groups -Equipment skills:- Nihon Khoden monitors- Alaris IVAC pumps- Level 1 Rapid Infuser -****Previous Indian Health Service employment preferred**** -Licensure: Must possess and maintain current State licensure while employed with Indian Health Service (IHS). -Certifications (MANDATORY):- a valid and unrestricted State Nursing License- a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification with American Heart Association- a current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification with American Heart Association- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) Certification with American Heart Association- Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC)
