Estimated Credentialing Timeframe (Days): 30- 45 days
Must have 5 years or more experience
Must be comfortable with an independent, non-supervised environment
Must be competent in all anesthesia techniques; regional block competency a plus
Types of surgeries: Ortho, podiatry, ENT( with pediatrics) General Surgery, Urology, GI endoscopy, OB/GYN to include epidurals/spinals, placement of regional blocks.
Adults primarily with the only pediatric cases is ENT (tubes and tonsils)
Advanced line placement and ventilator management in the OR/PACU
No pain blocks
The schedule is: hospital OR setting, 2 weeks working (days), with 7 days of call (including a weekend) during the 2 weeks. I have noticed that if a CRNA is working the OR during the day, they don t have night call and if they have night call, they are not on the schedule to work in the OR during the day
