Job Description:
iDEAL Hire is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel
nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Job Description &
Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date:
07/28/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours,
nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Utilizes the nursing
process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of
patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered,
timely, efficient, and equitable care. Assesses, plans, implements,
evaluates, and documents patient needs, actions, and responses.
Coordinates care through collaboration with patients, families, and
the healthcare team. Initiates and documents appropriate protocols
and standards of care. Administers medications and treatments as
prescribed, following policy. Addresses patient and family learning
and discharge needs from admission through care episode. Supervises
LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically. Required
Skills & Experience: Minimum 2 years of current experience in an 18
bed telemetry/progressive care unit. Team player, flexible, and
accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Completion of at least one
13-week travel assignment. Preferred Skills & Experience: Epic EMR
experience preferred. Required Education: Associate’s Degree in
Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN). Preferred
Education: N/A Required Certifications & Licensure: State of New
Mexico or Compact State Nursing License. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
certifications. BLS and ACLS must be completed through American
Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red
Cross. Must pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia Assessment
(BCA) test onsite prior to or during the first week of assignment.
Candidates who fail the BCA test may re-test once. A second failure
results in contract cancellation and applicable fees. Preferred
Certifications & Licensure: N/A Additional Notes: Candidates must
successfully pass the BCA test to start the assignment. Failure to
pass the BCA test after one re-test will result in contract
