Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN with a NM or compact license and recent travel experience for day shift assignments. Responsibilities - Hospital-based Med-Surg unit setting - Day shifts from 0650 to 1850, three 12-hour shifts per week - Floating required between departments and locations within 20 miles - Weekend and on-call coverage may be needed - Uses Epic EMR; on-site training provided if needed - Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for a designated group of patients - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate patient care with patients and families - Responsible for clinical supervision of LPNs and assistive personnel - Basic cardiac arrhythmia testing is required during orientation for some specialties, with one retake allowed - Returning employees must wait one year after previous employment to be considered - Age-specific and procedure competency testing is required per unit standards Requirements - Active NM or compact state RN license required - BLS certification from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required - Minimum two years of current Med-Surg RN experience required - At least one previous 13-week travel assignment required - Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required - Epic EMR experience preferred, but not required - Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local applicants not eligible Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623750.
