Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/15/2025 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel \n Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN with at least two years of current specialty experience and a NM or compact RN license for a day shift assignment. \n \n Responsibilities\n Work in a medical-surgical unit within a hospital setting Assignment consists of 12-hour day shifts from 06:50 to 18:50, three days per week Floating required to departments and local locations within a 20-mile radius Weekend and on-call coverage are required as needed EMR system is Epic, with on-site training available Responsible for delivering direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team Expected to administer medications and treatments as per protocols and document accordingly Completes population, age-specific, and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards Testing or modules may be required during orientation; failure to pass may result in termination Candidates who were previously permanent staff must wait one year before being reconsidered as travelers Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this position \n \n Requirements\n Active NM or compact RN license required Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross Minimum of two years current experience in Med-Surg nursing At least one previous 13-week travel assignment required Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required Must be flexible, a team player, and able to work in a fast-paced environment \n Benefits\n High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts \n American Traveler Job ID P-638381.
