ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • 36 or 48 hour contracts available • Patient ratios: 1:2 (ICU typically has a mix of ICU, Sub-acute and floor status patients with SAC ratios 1:4) • Minimum 1 year of experience required • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend with minimum of 13 weekend shifts per contract • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; NIH and TNCC preferred • No on-call requirements • Occasional floating to other inpatient units in rotation • Must have ventilator management experience • 24 hours of orientation provided • Scrub color: Black • Charting system: Cerner • Free parking available • Must perform specialized procedures including chest tube insertion, intubations, paracentesis, thoracentesis, CRRT, arterial lines, central lines • Experience required with IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, continuous IV sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration • Must be comfortable with ventilator management, arterial blood gas interpretation, and wound care including surgical wounds with drains • Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including sepsis, renal failure, ARDS, respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, and orthopedic trauma • Work with specialized equipment including CRRT-NxStage, Edwards FloTrac-EV1000, Phillips monitors, and Arctic Sun cooling systems Facility: This community-based hospital serves as a Level III Trauma Center and Level I Teaching facility with 65 inpatient beds and a 12-bed ICU. The facility maintains Magnet designation and operates as a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. The ICU provides comprehensive critical care services with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The unit maintains a daily census of approximately 9 patients and offers advanced life support capabilities with state-of-the-art monitoring and therapeutic equipment.
