Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Rio Rancho, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,038 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87144! Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: NM license can pend at the time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; CPI, NIH, OCN preferred Must-Have: COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of exemption form. Experience in colostomy care, feeding tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, and blood product administration. Skilled in central line blood draws, phlebotomy, IV starts, and wound care. Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical care. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on telemetry and various medical conditions. Patient diagnoses include diabetes mellitus, congestive heart failure, alcohol withdrawal, post-operative infections, hypertension, and respiratory illnesses. The nurse will work in a 1:5 patient ratio environment. Responsibilities include accessing and managing ports, performing chest tube care, and administering medications such as insulin and heparin. The nurse will monitor patients using telemetry and be knowledgeable in interpreting arterial blood gases. Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team is essential. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs is expected. No on-call duties are required. Weekend coverage may be necessary depending on census and staff availability. The nurse should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
