Minimum of 1 year required License: New Mexico license can pend at
time of submission Certifications: BLS & ACLS required NIH and TNCC
preferred Must-Have: Chest tube insertion Intubations Paracentesis
Thoracentesis Continuous renal replacement therapy Arterial lines
management Central lines management Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Management of dysrhythmias Multi-system organ failure experience
Blood product administration Central line care and management PICC
line management Ventilator management experience Description: The
position requires a registered nurse specializing in the intensive
care unit. This role typically involves caring for a mix of ICU,
sub-acute, and floor status patients. The nurse will manage
critical conditions such as sepsis, renal failure, ARDS, and
respiratory failure. The nurse must be familiar with advanced
procedures and equipment management, including CRRT and
ventilators. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The
nurse will occasionally float to other inpatient units based on
facility needs. Floating is done in a rotation. The facility
typically accommodates a patient ratio of 1:2 in the ICU. The
environment emphasizes teamwork with support from various services
like physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Candidates should possess the ability to interpret arterial blood
gases and manage patients with dysrhythmias. This role requires
