Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/25/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking a Med-Surg RN with at least two years of current experience and a NM or compact RN license for a fast-paced hospital setting. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a General Medical Unit (GMU) within a hospital environment - Care for diverse adult medical-surgical patients - 12-hour day shifts from 06:50 to 18:50, three days per week - Floating between departments and within local locations up to 20 miles is required - EPIC EMR is used on site, training available - Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration, care coordination, and documentation - Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel as needed - Pass/fail testing or modules may be required during orientation - Must complete unit-specific education and competency requirements - Collaborate closely with patients, families, and healthcare team members /n /n Requirements/n - Active New Mexico or compact state RN license required - Current BLS certification from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross - Minimum of two years current Med-Surg experience required - At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required - Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required - Previous permanent staff must wait one year before being considered as a traveler - No local candidates within 50 miles are accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-657774.
