We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Feb 16, 2026. This position features day shifts from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, in a busy clinic environment. Candidates must have recent family practice experience, active California licensure, and hold a current DEA with furnishing license. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Feb 16, 2026 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Family Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm Responsibilities and Duties - Deliver primary care services in a high-volume clinic setting - Provide care for a predominantly adult patient population, with a strong emphasis on family medicine - Serve a patient base that is approximately 75% Spanish speaking, supported by translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants - Manage a high proportion of Medical/Medicaid patients (approximately 78%) - Utilize Epic EMR for all patient documentation and records - Adhere to clinic protocols and quality standards Additional Information - Locum experience is required - Experience in FQHC, rural health, or IHS settings is preferred - Recent experience must be in a family practice setting (internal medicine and pediatrics experience alone will not be accepted) - Active California DEA and furnishing license required - Required board certification: Family Medicine Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
