Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,738 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: 1 Years Preferred License: Valid RN License (NM or Compact) Certifications: BLS and ACLS Required, CPI Preferred Must-Have: - Cardiovascular Experience Required - Experience with Patient Ratios of 1:4 Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a PCU setting. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with 2 years preferred. Travelers with previous charge experience are encouraged to apply. The patient ratio on the unit is typically 1:4. Weekend shifts are required as needed on a rotating basis. Some floating to similar units may be necessary based on the facility’s needs. Candidates should possess skills in various areas including telemetry, cardiac drips management, and the administration of blood products. Experience in handling post-myocardial infarction patients and pre/post cardiac surgery care is essential. Familiarity with Epic charting systems is preferred. Wound care and management, as well as IV insulin protocols, are also integral to the role. The unit houses 55 beds, with a daily census averaging around 38 patients. Interdisciplinary support is provided from various healthcare professionals. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, with a focus on cardiovascular-related diagnoses. Additional preferred skills include respiratory support management and interpreting dysrhythmias. The position requires the ability to manage central lines, PICC lines, and perform sheath removals.
