Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,978 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 years in ICU License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience (2 years) Patient ratio experience (2:1) Travel experience preferred Skills in Neuro Intensive Care Unit and Surgical Intensive Care Unit Experience with external ventricular drains, ICP monitoring, post neurosurgery management Ability to manage multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Familiarity with IV insulin protocols and chronic/acute renal failure Competence in arterial line management and blood product administration Experience in starting and maintaining IVs and administering continuous IV sedation Knowledge in monitoring and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips Capability in managing patients with CVA/acute stroke and understanding hypothermia protocols Proficiency in assisting with BiPAP, CPAP, and chest tube insertion/removal Experience with care of ventilated patients, high-flow nasal cannula, and interpretation of arterial blood gases Skills in suctioning and infection prevention Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit. This role requires working night shifts. Travel experience is acceptable for first-time travelers. You may choose between 36 or 48 hours per week. Typical patient ratios are 1:2. Floating to various units may be required, including stepdown and emergency. Weekends are part of the scheduling requirements. This unit supports interdisciplinary care, including various therapy services. Patient care focuses primarily on adults, with a daily census of 32 patients. All applicants must adhere to the floating guidelines and be willing to receive a brief orientation on the unit.
