Nurse (RN) Specialty: Cardiac / Acute Care Location: New Mexico
Position Summary The Travel Registered Nurse (RN) provides
high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to assigned patients in
a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN uses the nursing
process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care
while collaborating with patients, families, and the
interdisciplinary healthcare team. This role requires a strong
cardiac skillset and prior travel nursing experience. Key
Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care using the nursing
process - Ensure care is safe, effective, timely, and
patient-centered - Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document
patient care - Collaborate with physicians, care teams, patients,
and families - Initiate and follow clinical protocols and standards
of care - Administer medications and treatments per physician
orders and protocols - Identify and address patient and family
education and discharge needs - Supervise LPNs and non-licensed
assistive personnel - Maintain required unit-specific competencies
and education Required Qualifications Education - ADN or ASN
required Licensure & Certifications - Active New Mexico RN License
or Compact License - BLS (AHA, American Health & Safety, or
client-approved) - ACLS (AHA or approved) - NIHSS - Must pass BCA
(Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) exam during first week (Failure to pass
will result in assignment cancellation) Required Experience - Must
have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment - Must be
comfortable working in a fast-paced environment - Must be a team
player with flexibility Preferred Experience - Open heart, LVAD,
and balloon pump experience - EPIC charting experience (training
