with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Albuquerque, New
Mexico, 87106! Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Varied
Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Two years current
experience in a 12-plus bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit required.
License: State Nursing License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
certifications required Must-Have: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
experience required. Must be a team player, flexible, and
accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Must have successfully
completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. Description:
Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is
required. Ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 for holding Pediatric or Surgical
Acute Care status patients. Utilizes the nursing process to provide
direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a
shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely,
efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient
care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and
documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient
responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the
patient and family and the healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes,
and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care.
Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by a physician
or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies
and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on
admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes
responsibility for the clinical supervision of licensed practical
nurses and non-licensed assistive personnel. Completes patient
population, age-specific, procedure, and protocol education and
competency testing per unit standards. Pediatric CVICU experience
