LTAC settings Experience in trauma Level I and Level II preferred
Description: The position involves working as a Registered Nurse in
a rehabilitation setting. The role requires a minimum of one year
of acute inpatient rehab experience. Candidates should possess
skills in managing patients with various acute conditions.
Experience in handling blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols,
and feeding devices is essential. Knowledge in the care and
management of feeding tubes and chronic renal failure is important.
The nurse will be responsible for venous blood draws and
administering anticoagulation therapy. Experience in caring for
patients recovering from cerebrovascular accidents and traumatic
brain injuries is preferred. The role includes pain assessment and
management as well as fall risk assessment and prevention.
Knowledge in infection prevention and isolation precautions is
required. Candidates should have experience in mobilization
techniques and assistive devices. Providing patient education and
managing ventilated patients will be part of the responsibilities.
The ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary
team is necessary. Weekend coverage is required for this position.
Travelers may need to float to similar units depending on facility
