Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Albuquerque,
New Mexico, 87106! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

Certifications: BLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
Must-Have: - Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of
Science in Nursing (ASN) - BLS completed through an approved
provider - Traveler must pass the BCA testing during the first week
of assignment Description: Floating between departments and/or
local locations within 20 miles is required. Assess all triage
patients over 20 weeks. Utilize obstetric triage acuity tools.
Conduct labor assessment and evaluation. Perform fetal evaluation
and assessment. Evaluate for labor at term, signs of preterm labor,
signs and symptoms of preeclampsia, rupture of membranes, decreased
fetal movement, preterm premature rupture of membranes, vaginal
bleeding, and acute and critical conditions. Stabilize the patient
for delivery or transfer to a higher level of care if an emergency
medical condition is determined to exist. Provide labor assessment,
evaluation, and care. Administer medications including but not
limited to Pitocin, misoprostol, methergine, hemabate, magnesium
sulfate, terbutaline, labetalol, nifedipine, hydralazine, and
insulin. Conduct immediate stabilization of newborns and administer
newborn medications. Prepare for scheduled or emergency cesarean
delivery. Assess and care for postpartum patients (vaginal and
cesarean deliveries) and newborn patients. Newborn care includes
performing hearing screens, assisting with laboratory draws, IV
starts and care, medication administration (hepatitis B, vitamin K,
erythromycin, antibiotics), assisting with circumcisions, caring
for opiate withdrawal newborns, stabilizing critically ill newborns
for transport, providing phototherapy, and managing hypoglycemia
