Department: OCO Jail Diversion Services FTE: 1.00 Full Time Shift:
Days Position Summary: Organize, administer, and oversee the
operation of the Forensic Case Management System, Psychosocial
Rehab Program, PSI, CCSS adult and child, Community Connections
Intensive Case Management, ACT, Assertive Treatment Team, FACT,
Assertive Treatment Team, Jail Diversion Programs, Bridge Services
and Crisis Triage Services. Oversee professional clinical and
support staff in each area. Provide community outreach; represent
organization at a variety of community boards and organizations.
Develop Behavioral Health programs to meet the needs of community
services. Coordinate special services for Behavioral health
projects and programs. Prepare request for proposals and ensure
contract compliance. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental
policies and procedures. No patient care assignment. Detailed
responsibilities: * OVERSEE - Provide direct oversight for clinical
operations of assigned Behavioral health units * RELATIONS -
Develop and maintain working relationships with various community
entities to include, but not limited to, Bernalillo County
Metropolitan Detention Center, Public Defenders Office, District
Attorney and the Provider Community * COMMITTEES - Represent the
Hospitals at community committees and organizations; serve on and
provide leadership to a variety of committees as assigned *
CLINICAL SERVICES - Oversee and coordinate case management services
ensuring adherence to procedures and standards * OVERSIGHT -
Oversee the operations of the organizational unit, ensuring
compliance with State and Federal regulations * CONTRACTS AND
GRANTS - Prepare request for proposals; compose and negotiate
contract and grant proposals; ensure proper administration of
financial and legal terms of contracts and grants * CONTRACTS -
manage contract processing through University Hospital and UNM
Health Sciences Center systems * CONTRACTS - Monitor institutional
compliance with all grant and contract provisions and assist in the
development of action plans for improvement * CONTRACTS - Become
familiar with regulatory mandates which impact area of
responsibility * STRATEGIC PLANNING - Integrate the mission,
values, and strategic objectives of the Hospitals into appropriate
programs and initiatives * REPORTS - Prepare and maintain a variety
of reports; analyze and interpret reports as required; identify and
recommend areas of improvement through data research and
statistical analysis * BUDGET - Develop and administer the
division's annual budget; monitor and approve expenditures *
DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through
participation in educational programs, reading current literature,
attending in-services, meetings and workshops * SUPERVISION -
Develop efficient organizational structure. Supervise employees and
select, terminate, train, educate, correct deficiencies, perform
appraisals, issue discipline, counsel, schedule work assignments;
encourage staff teamwork and growth initiatives Qualifications
Education: Essential: * Master's Degree Education specialization:
Essential: * Related Discipline w/in 36 Months of Assignment
Experience: Essential: 3 years directly related experience
Nonessential: Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa,
Zuni, or Navajo Credentials: Nonessential: * LPCC or LCSW or
equivalent or temporary license * RN in NM or as allowed by
reciprocal agreement by NM Physical Conditions: Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally:
activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a
negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or
condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push,
pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve
walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary
if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all
other sedentary criteria are met. Working conditions: Essential: *
Sig Haz: Physical risk/injuries due to combative patients * May
perform subordinate tasks in high census/vol * May be required or
