The opportunity Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a seasonal Custodian to join our team at Lodgepole in Sequoia National Park, California. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for performing custodial duties such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, restocking paper and soap supplies, and keeping the property neat, clean, and free from clutter. What will you do? - Sweep and clean facilities, including bathrooms, carpets, walls, windows, break rooms, offices, and all other duties as assigned - Pressure wash concrete surfaces to remove dirt and chewing gum, etc. - Stock closets and replenish paper products in the restrooms - Respond to guest inquiries, providing accurate, courteous information - Follow safety and environmental business practices and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition More about you - 6 months' experience in custodial and related services preferred - Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions - No high school diploma or GED required Physical requirements - This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and reach above head level - May be required to work twelve to fifty feet (or more) above the ground on ladders or high lift/scissor lifts - Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time - Must be able to work inside and outside with exposure to heat, dirt, noise, fumes, wetness, paint and solvents Shift details Days Evenings On call Holidays M-F Evenings as needed Weekends Every weekend 8hr shift OT as needed Who we are Sequoia National Park offers an opportunity to see the giant Redwoods that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
