Job Title: Radiologic technologist

Based at: Gallup, NM

 

Job Summary:  Sanford Federal is looking for a successful Radiologic technologist. We are looking for a candidate who can provide direct patient care services at hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities in Gallup, NM. Our ideal candidate succeeds at providing relevant work experience, also, shall maintain appropriate licensure and certification in this field.

 

  • Requirements:  The Candidate must meet the following requirements.

 

  • Qualifications:
    • shall possess a valid, active, full and unrestricted license to medicine in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
    • shall possess current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
    • current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and be Certified in Computed Tomography (CT) Modality
    • Shall possess a valid state drivers license.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory for all specialties.
    • A fitness for duty certificate issued by a licensed physician to perform the proposed job
    • Shall provide the following documentation:
      • Immunity to Rubella, Mumps, Measles
      • Immunity to Hepatitis B series
      • History of chicken pox (varicella) disease or positive titer
      • Tdap vaccine required
      • Documentation of receiving a TB Mantoux skin test (PPD) within the past 12 months with documentation of follow-up for a positive test.
      • A signed declination of the Hepatitis B vaccination series will be accepted.
      • Current Influenza vaccination

 

  • Experience:
    • Shall have a minimum of 6 months of experience within their specialty.

 

  • Skills:
  • IHS information technology systems
  • Shall read, understand, speak, and write English to effectively communicate with patients and other health care workers.
  • respectful of the local, American Indian and Alaska Native culture.
  • Basic knowledge, skills, and abilities to use a computer

 

  • Duties: the candidate will be responsible for:
  • Complete clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients under his/her care in a timely fashion. Clinical data reports for the records of each patient shall be maintained in compliance with the standards of Center for Medicare/Medicaid (CMS), the Joint Commission (TJC), and the Diagnostic Imaging service quality management requirements.
  • Ensures the maintenance of reporting and record systems related to patient care and progress notes according to established Service Unit, Navajo Area Indian Health Services, and Indian Health Services policies
  • shall manage all patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards, Privacy Act, and IHS Service Unit and/or Health Center specific policies and protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to DHHS IT system security policies and procedures.
  • Adapt to and successfully utilize IHS information technology systems that are deemed by the Supervisor as necessary for acceptable contractor performance, including use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Ensure that IHS information technology system security policies and procedures are adhered to.
