Job Description Type of Opportunity: Full Time FTE: 1.000000 Exempt: Yes Work Schedule: Days Summary: Supervises the inpatient and outpatient echocardiography laboratory; perform numerous types of diagnostic cardiac echo/Doppler procedures. Responsible for coordinating the overall cardiac structural program s technical and clinical needs ensuring smooth operations and patient flow for clinical activities. This role will also include responsibility for cardiac imaging accreditation and quality review. RDCS/RCS required. Interested in learning more about this position? Schedule a call with a Recruiter here []. RESPONSIBILITIES Recruit, interview, hire and evaluate all personnel within the Echocardiography Imaging Lab. Coaches, mentors and implements disciplinary processes when indicated. Prepares developmental plans for team members to ensure growth. Oversees and ensures effectiveness of staffing plans Provides guidance to staff to improve their clinical, technical and professional skills Conducts potential employee interviews Conducts employee appraisals Technical Expertise: Completes job-specific competencies Maintaining Valve Net and other related Data Maintain quality reporting for structural heart registries Assesses non-routine situations and chooses best course of action Aggressively promotes appropriate, cost-effective use of resources Coordinates performance of the structural heart multidisciplinary teams, coordinates weekly team meetings and/or subcommittees convened to address specific issues or problems related to structural heart. Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, physicians, families, employees, administrators, and the public under varied conditions Excellent relationship building skills and ability to work across multiple departments Ability to demonstrate mature and responsible attitude when dealing with confidential information pertaining to business Performs other duties as required or assigned by the Director of Invasive Cardiovascular Service Line QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree or six years of experience in cardiac ultrasound in lieu of degree. Holds and maintains current ARDCS or RCS registry. Minimum three years supervisory and management experience. Plus 6 years experience inpatient/outpatient cardiac ultrasound with emphasis on TEE Requires in-depth knowledge of health care/structural Heart, theories and practices of quality management, a working knowledge of healthcare and computers, and expert knowledge of data and statistical analysis and presentation. Knowledge of state, federal regulations, Joint Commission, and ICAEL standards. Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous quality improvement (CQI) methods and tools. Knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served and must have excellent people skills.
