Overview:
Serves as Senior CVL lead for technical and patient care functions
during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the
Cardiovascular Lab while assisting the Department Manager &
Director in planning, directing and coordinating the department
operational, financial and personnel activities; Provides clinical
and operational leadership. Type of Opportunity: Full Time FTE:

Qualifications:
*Associates Degree in Invasive Cardiovascular / Cardiopulmonary
Technologist program, Radiology, Respiratory therapy, Paramedic;
Surgical Tech (Certificate must be 1 yr. min program). *3 years of
additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree. *Plus 3
years of adult Cath lab diagnostic and interventional procedure in
performing scrubbing, circulating and monitoring and recording
duties. *RCIS or RCES required. *ACLS (PALS is only required at
Presbyterian Downtown) is required within the first 6 months
*Requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology,
disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and
interventional technology. - Education:Essential:* Associate Degree

Responsibilities:
*Serves as resource for Circulate, scrub and record on Adult
Diagnostic/Interventional procedures and in 3 out of 5 other
service areas (Electrophysiology, Pediatrics, Neuro Intervention,
Structural Heart and/or Vascular). *Assists with the maintenance of
team cohesiveness and positive customer relationships.*Assist in
orientation and training of staff and acts as clinical resource for
new staff.*Develops, tracks and reports department service
indicators for quality assurance.*Perform administrative tasks such
as ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, ensuring maintenance
of equipment and cleanliness of lab.*Serves as Daily Team Lead and
ensures accurate medication, charge and reporting accuracy of daily
procedural case load which may include audits.*Ensure compliance
with hospital policies and procedures.*Functions in the
Circulator/Monitor/ and Scrub role: to include Adult Cardiac
Catheterization, Vascular Catheterization, Cardiac Devices, and/or
Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization and/or Electrophysiology and/or
Neuro Intervention and/or Structural heart.*Preparation and ongoing
review of department budget. *Responsible for work schedules,
assigns personnel, evaluates work performance, and makes
recommendations for personnel actions. *Maintains established
departmental and state regulations, policies and procedures,
objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and
infection control standards. Constructs documents as required.
*Directs maintenance of departmental facilities, equipment,
supplies and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health
comfort, safety of patients and staff. *Establishes and maintains
communication within the department and with other hospital
departments. Develop relationships with the professional
affiliations and others as appropriate. *Applies Invasive
Cardiovascular Specialist Skills when necessary. Oversees new
testing procedures and related protocol. Encourages and approves
introduction and demonstration of new techniques, equipment, and
research findings. *Serves as knowledgeable resource and
implementer of quality assurance programs. Establishes and
maintains safety, environmental and infection control policies and
procedures for the department. *Applies all JCAHO requirements.
*Manages accuracy of PACs Images, Clinical Documentation and Charge
posting *Attends meetings as required and participates on
committees as directed *Respond and provide emergent care.*Acts as
Super user and resource for assigned equipment, procedure or New
Technologies. *Responsibility for an area or program
(Electrophysiology, Cardiac Devices, Pediatrics, Neuro
Intervention, Structural Heart and/or Vascular) that supports the
operation of the CVL. *Participates and Leads process improvement
projects to improve care, control costs and efficiency *Enhances
professional growth and development through participation in
educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and
workshops. *Coordinates education for the respective
program*Performs other functions as required.
