**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Bernalillo/Rio Rancho. As a key member of our maintenance and repair crew, you will operate a variety of heavy equipment to maintain and improve County roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, graders, and excavators to perform maintenance and repair work on County roads and bridges
* Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
* Ensure traffic flow safety during repairs and maintenance
* Operate snow plows during inclement weather
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform preventative maintenance and repairs
* Respond to emergencies and call-outs as needed

**Requirements**

* Valid driver's license
* Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
