DO NOT PASS IF THEY ARE MISSING REQUIREMENTS Approximately 60%-80%
of the Emergency Department is admitted, and many of the ED rooms
are "ED Holding". FLOATING: ED does have ED holding area, travelers
are expected to work per staffing needs.Floating to adult PCU's is
an expectation. Many are for Med Surg patients on PCU. This is done
based on staffing needs and availability both of the ED, and of the
rest of the hospital. This includes specialty needs of the ED, such
as Trauma and Triage trained nursing to staff those specific
areas.Trauma/Resuscitation experience preferred Special Equipment :
Medication administration, including IV medication via the seven
medication rights; document and communicate clinical findingsBar
Code Medication scanning is an expectation of all employees. Tier2
Travel Compliance Compliance document deadline is two Friday s
before starting (10 days prior to start). RTO : RTO Restrictions :
Client prefers that travelers only request one holiday bundle max
(holiday bundles include: Block 1: Thanksgiving the day after;
Block 2: Christmas Eve Christmas Day 5 ; Block 3: NYE NYD ; however
if the traveler requires more than this, RTO will be requested upon
offer. No RTO can be requested during the first 7 days of the
contract or on the last day of the contract. If traveler can cut
their RTO down to just 7 days or less for all units (except for
PCU, which is RTO 10 days or less), and there are no major holidays
included, then AM can automatically approve RTO without asking the
client and speed up the offer process. Please encourage clinician
to cut RTO down to 7 days or less to speed up process if possible.
Otherwise RTO will be requested upon offer. Marketing submissions :
Facility will NOT accept marketing submissions, even if they are a
return traveler and the unit manager reached out to them and asked
them to return. Please pay attention to NOVA and only submit over
once you see a need open up. *75 mileage radius in effect please
redirect if clinician lives within 75 miles of facility Please
ensure traveler has a (non-local) Driver s License uploaded to
their file ASAP as this is a facility compliance requirement. If
they do NOT have a valid DL, they must provide a written statement
outlining their transportation plan to get to and from the
hospital. Please note that personal transportation is required for
travelers working at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Due to its
location public transportation and ride-sharing are not available
for that location License can pend at the time of submission For
all Behavioral Health and related positions : if not yet MOAB
certified, traveler will take in-person MOAB certification course
as part of orientation during first week. If traveler does not pass
the course, their contract will immediately be terminated. * If
your traveler already has the MOAB cert in hand, please send a copy
with submission and there will be a $5 rate bump upon verification

of the system for 12 months or more. Effective 9/2022 OT Policy :
OT must be approved by client before being worked. Approval for OT
is rare. Please be sure clinicians are aware of this OT policy
