Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 years preferred License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS and ACLS required, CPI preferred Must-Have: - 2 years preferred experience in Progressive Care Unit - Cardiovascular experience required - Travel experience preferred Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit for night shifts. The nurse will be responsible for managing patients with cardiovascular conditions. Patient ratios are typically 1:4. Weekend work is required on an as-needed basis. The role involves floating to similar units based on facility needs. The nurse will provide care for adults and geriatric patients. Daily census averages around 38 patients in the unit with 55 beds available. Key skills needed include post-myocardial infarction care, IV insulin protocols, and telemetry monitoring. The nurse will perform procedures such as blood product administration and central line management.
